Our Philosophy

The teaching objectives focus on nurturing talent and encouraging musical development of the hidden talents and musical abilities of each student by providing a well-rounded musical education. It incorporates principles and techniques of the Russian classical piano school, and includes repertoire from different styles of music, such as jazz, pop, folk, etc. Classically trained students develop highest level of skill and ability on their instrument, and acquire superior knowledge of music in general. An essential element of teaching is to develop the comprehensive knowledge of musical content, such as note reading, rhythm, harmony, analyzing the formal structure of musical piece, etc. Instruction in music theory and ear-training integrated in piano lesson offered in separate classes as well.
